Summer at LTS Shetland

At LTS Shetland, we pride ourselves on delivering quality work to our customers and clients in & around Shetland. Throughout the summer, we have continued to provide our Engineering and Plant Hire services to a number of local and visiting companies and contractors. 

However, we have seen an increase in haulage support for the likes of Pelagia & LEF. We introduced this to the business last year. 

Logistics and transportation play a vital role in connecting Shetland’s industries and we pride ourselves on our tailored haulage solutions. We are dedicated to moving equipment and plant for companies locally and those from the rest of the United Kingdom and Ireland. 

From transporting essential supplies to facilitating the intricate logistics of large-scale projects, our commitment to reliable service is a cornerstone of what we do and the impact we want on Shetland’s dynamic range of industry.

Client: Pelagia 
Service: Haulage
The Task: LTS Shetland lifted and moved tanks from SEM and delivered to Pelagia in Bressay. We carried out a site visit and provided all the risk assessments, lift plans, and movement orders for wide loads and planned around ferries. We provided all personnel, crane, haulage, and plant.

Pelagia is a leading producer of pelagic fish products for human consumption, and an important supplier of essential ingredients in all kinds of fish.

Client: Lerwick Engineering & Fabrication
Service: Haulage
The Task: LTS Shetland provided haulage services to Lerwick Engineering & Fabrication. This included transporting pipe from Lerwick to Aberdeen for testing.

LEF is based in Lerwick by the quayside and provides industry-leading engineering solutions to clients both locally and nationally with a focus on keeping projects on time and budget. 

Client: EnQuest
Service: Plant Hire 
The Task: LTS Shetland provides forklifts to energy giants EnQuest. EnQuest operates from the Sullom Voe Oil Terminal in the north of Shetland, one of Europe’s largest oil terminals. 

Clients: Ocean Kinetics, Shetland Seafood Auctions, Knowles Foods, Loganair
Service: Engineering (Services & Inspection)
The Task: LTS Shetland works closely with many businesses throughout Shetland to service and inspect their vehicles and equipment. We provide a full service, including repair. This is important as it keeps the business vehicles and equipment to a good standard allowing for efficient working practices.
